From 9 to 11 the pitch gets bigger and the game gets smarter. Our Under 10 & 11 group plays 7-a-side, and passing, moving into space and understanding a position become the work of each session.

- 9–11 years

- 7-a-side
What this group works on
- Passing and receiving under pressure
- Positions in a 7-a-side team
- Speed, shooting and finishing
7-a-side gives each child more space and more decisions. Our coaches use it to teach passing patterns, support play and when to dribble or release the ball.
You will see speed work with resistance parachutes, pressing games where children learn to apply pressure and to resist it, and finishing drills in front of goal.
Children at this age also get used to tournaments and match days, playing alongside the academy teams in junior cups.
